Ohai Chefs! Yesterday evening during the process of building a new release of Chef the chef gem was pushed to RubyGems ahead of the complete omnibus release making it out to OmniTruck. Unfortunately, this has broken vagrant-omnibus for anyone that has the version set to latest or hasn’t explicitly set a version.

Ohai Chefs, As of today version 0.2.2 of Chef Development Kit is available on our download page. This version includes one critical bugfix to address a regression in 0.2.

We’ve got a couple of new features to announce for Supermarket. Fieri The first is a new tab called “Foodcritic” that shows up when you are viewing a cookbook. Now, when you upload a cookbook, Supermarket will make a background request to a new service we wrote, called Fieri.

The fine folks at O’Reilly just published our good friend and Awesome Chef Jon Cowie‘s (Etsy) book Customizing Chef. This book is a must read for anyone who has already gone through our Fundamentals webinar series, or is using Chef beyond the beginning stages.
